Today I am participating in my first Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day. This is a sort of tradition set up by May Dreams Gardens. On the 15th of every month bloggers can post a picture of something blooming in his/her garden as well as enjoy the blooms of fellow fleur-enthusiasts!
The hyacinth have really taken off...so far 3 are blooming, all a light lilac color. And so fragrant! I'm hoping the other two will add some variation in color.(I'm hoping for red!)
One in my tulip dish is close to blooming, perhaps in time for March's Bloom Day they'll be ready to pose for me.

Hi Ronnie - Welcome to your first Bloom Day! I think it's a really fun tradition. Your hyacinths are lovely, I can almost smell them from here! Hey, FYI, it's hard to see the comments option on your site, at least from mine. It's all black and doesn't show up unless you happen to draw your cursor across, and even so it's still tiny so easy to miss. Not criticizing, just letting you know in case you want more people to see it and leave comments! :)
ReplyDeleteHi, Ronnie, Welcome to bloom day. I love those hyacinths... and I can smell them, too, or is that mine that I'm smelling? Regardless, I don't think I could get through February without them!

Happy Garden BLoggers Bloom Day. Beautiful Hyacinths. I love the way they perfume the air as well as their neat appearance.
ReplyDeleteHappy Bloom Day...it was great day to be visiting blogs...chilly and not inviting to be outside. Nice tutorial on the ivy column from you last post! This is the first year I planted hyacinths so I will see how they look and smell in the garden~~gail
ReplyDeleteOh dear. I have some hyacinths in a pot outside and they have not even poked themselves out of the dirt yet. I'm up in NY so I still have hope that we're done with the snow. I can tell that tulip is going to be gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI love the color of your hyacinths-- A great way to launch into your first bloom day!
